First and foremost, our mission is to do all we can to save the lives of first responders. A great first step is ensuring those first responders have the tools they need to do their job effectively, which increases their personal safety and in turn, better serve the needs of their community.

Our Back Story

Several years ago the owners of LIFELINE® Tactical Rescue Tools noticed a growing problem in the field of fire fighting with rising numbers of documented instances of firefighters becoming trapped or entangled in wires or cables which commonly occurs when ceilings collapse. Firefighters have used wire cutters, knives or other types of tools to attempt to free themselves and others from entanglement situations, but data showed that those methods often proved unreliable. In response, they developed the concept of the LIFELINE® FIRE™ Tool to provide each and every firefighter, policeman and other first responders in this country with a tool that will help them save themselves, each other and those in the communities they serve.

Over the past few years, they discovered that some fire departments faced budgetary restrictions that prevented them from purchasing all kinds of lifesaving tools.  In an effort to support these fire departments, LIFELINE® established The Harm’s Way Foundation®, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, that offers turnkey fundraising support to local fire departments. By partnering with an expert in the field of fundraising, The Harm’s Way Foundation is able to provide and administer a turnkey fundraising that includes a direct mail campaign, an online donation collection tool and customized social media banners. Our dedicated team provides individual support throughout the process and life of the campaign.

The Harm’s Way Foundation is proud to have the privilege to make a difference in the lives of first repsonders across our nation. By managing fundraising drives for all types of equipment and first responder gear that may not be available due to budgetary restrictions, we’re able to honor our core mission. The fact that we’re able to fully administer the program on their behalf with no out-of-pocket expenses, and minimal effort on their part, is beyond our own expectations.

Turnkey Fundraising for Lifesaving Tools

Every firefighter should have the tools they need to increase their own personal safety and ability to better serve their community. This program is designed to make this happen with absolutely no monetary or time investment from the fire department.

The Harm’s Way Foundation® ~ Alternative Funding Program
This innovative program that provides fire departments with a reliable turnkey fundraising vehicle at NO cost to them. Through a strategic partnership with a fundraising powerhouse, we make fundraising simple with our proven process. By reaching out to the local community a fire department serves, The Harm’s Way Foundation® can help to raise funds needed to purchase select tools and gear, and in some instances, we are able to exceed the fundraising goals and provide any excess funds directly to the fire department. One hundred percent of the excess funds are given to the fire department after out-of-pocket expenses such as; design, printing, and mailing of direct mail letters, design of custom social media banner, and small administrative fee for the Harm’s Way Foundation to manage the entire campaign on their behalf.

The greatest benefit of this program to the fire department is both time and money. No outlay of funds for printing and mailing the fundraiser, and minimal time to organize the content to create and share the fundraiser with their community.  When the fundraiser is complete, the fire department’s tools/gear are delivered directly to them.  The Harm’s Way Foundation® makes every effort to provide a turnkey program with minimal work and no worry.

SUPPORT THE HARM’S WAY FOUNDATION GENERAL FUND

First responders serve and protect our communities 24/7 – 365 days a year. It takes bravery, dedication, and remarkable commitment to the type of continuous training and education it takes to actually be a first responder. This is why the Harm’s Way Foundation created an independent General Fund to find meaningful ways to support the family members of firefighters, police, EMT’s and other first responders who’ve been injured or lost their lives on the job.
